Our mission

War interrupted a generation's education. It did not end it. We connect Tigray's students to the mentors, skills, and doors that open next.

Innovate Tigray is a nonprofit initiative. Every course is free, every mentor is a volunteer from the global community, and every student's privacy is protected from day one.

Student stories

Portrait of Samrawit, a university student
“I didn't need someone to believe in me. I had that. I needed someone to show me the forms, the deadlines, the words admissions officers expect.”

Samrawit G.

Mekelle → University of Toronto, Computer Engineering

“My mentor never gave me answers. He gave me deadlines, and the feeling that someone was waiting to see me hit them.”

Dawit K.

Adigrat → Addis Ababa University, Software Engineering

“On the first call I just listened. Someone with my own accent was explaining how he passed the interviews I was afraid of.”

Yonas A.

Axum → Bahir Dar University, Computer Science
